During the 1980s and 1990s, Estero Beach became one of the most iconic venues for Jet Ski competitions in North America — hosting legends like Chris Fischetti and Jeff Jacobs. We also welcomed Clayton Jacobson II, the inventor of the Jet Ski, and his son Clayton III.

The 1986 Record
1986The first 150-mile Jet Ski ride from Long Beach, CA to Estero Beach Ensenada, Baja California, MX — completed in 12 hours and 48 minutes on a Kawasaki 550 with only 10 pit stops.
The Return — 2026
2026We're bringing back this legendary tradition. In partnership with IJSBA, this event will reestablish Estero Beach as a world-class competition venue.
